A Question for Clients!

Hello to all you wonderful Clients out there that are the ones that make us wake up every day looking forward to coming into the salon! Thank you for supporting our Industry AND for allowing us to keep you all looking soooo good.
My first question is:

What attracts you to a Salon?

  • The Salon's Appearance?
  • Word of Mouth?
  • Location?
  • Pricing?
  • Services Offered?

Please Clients, share your honest answers so that TheSalonGuy can help out all the Salons out there that can improve their services for you.

Thanks,

TheSalonGuy

  1. I think word of mouth is most important, but I would take appearance into consideration too. If someone told me that a Salon was exceptional and then I get there and it looks like crap, I'd probably pass.

  2. Appearance!!! It's gotta have a good energy about it! Clean & Orderly a must! & Service...i want to feel like i'm important & taken care of... undivided attention...if you know what i mean...if i ask "where is the ladies room"...i would like to be personally taken there! not just shown by a point in the direction of it...i will pay for Quality!

  3. Seems like appearence so far. I find that interesting. Salons need to clean it up and put more efforts to how the salon looks, cleanliness, and the overall feeling of the Salon when you first walk in.

  4. I would say appearance and would word of mouth. If the service is excpetional and the appearance, people will rave about it and consistanty recommend it to everyone they know.

  6. How about services they offer or pricing? Since money is an issue, what if the salon was highly recommended but out of your price range?

  7. Word of mouth first and then appearance. If my friend told me to go to a salon and it was dirty an unorganized than how are they going to take care of me? Price is important too and whether ir not it was worth the price. My salon gives me a "washroom experiance" and that alone is worth half the price of the haircut.

  8. I've been very fortunate to have had many friends over the years who have worked in salons, both the very high-end, and the trendy and cool. I'm one of those people who totally trusts my stylist to make all the choices, so I think that knowing and feeling comfortable with him/her is the most important thing to me.

  9. If word of mouth says it is a great salon and the appearance is not up to par, you let it go and see what the results are. I say word or mouth and also pricing. what good is a great salon experience if you can't afford it?
