I am not as readily able to go and get my hair done as frequently as I would like to because of the economy. Its unfortunate because that adds to the negative mood and depressed feelings that we as a society share. It is unfortunate for businesses all around.

Jackie, thanks for your response. Do you feel that Salons should offer specials to promote tough times or discount their services? Many Salons don't want to take a loss and want to actually raise prices. There are also budget Salons that charge very low costs for services, however you don't know what to expect.
ReplyDeleteIf a Salon is expecting me to pay top dollar for a cut then there had better be more than just a cut. I hardly have time to get out to get a good cut but when I do then I expect to get great service.
ReplyDeleteit's a matter of priority...i feel that my hair is an adornment that i wear every day...i wanna make sure that it's looking it's best all the time!...so i a may not buy that new blouse cause i don't need it if my hair is looking Fabulous!...when my hair looks good...i could go out wearing jeans & a t-shirt...& look Hot!...So...moral of the story...My Hair comes first!
ReplyDeleteI'm financially strapped right now, but not willing to sacrifice the positive attitude that comes with my hair looking it's best. I know I don't feel as confident or good about myself when I can see those roots coming in. Unemployed or not, I need to always be putting my best foot forward. I set aside a little each week so I can keep up with my regular coloring.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Isabella and Megan. If my hair is making me feel crumy then no matter what new blouse i purchase, I'm not going to have the esteem to want to go out. Therefore, if the price of milk is going up, if the price of gas is going up, then why should my stylist be taking a cut in his/her paycheck. They also have bills to pay, and their services should be going up.
